Lovers of horse-riding have a large number of riding establishments to choose from, scattered around the province. Most offer lessons for the less experienced, and there are beautiful trekking trails that can be followed by good riders.

They are generally located close to the Gorbeia, Izki and Valderejo Nature Reserves, as well as other places such as the lower slopes of the Entzia Mountain Range ("Cuadrilla" of Salvatierra), Sierra Salvada ("Cuadrilla" of Ayala), and the Mountains of Zaldiaran ("Cuadrilla" of Vitoria-Gasteiz). At Antoñana, you can ride "pottokas", a native breed of horse that is characterised by its ability on difficult mountain rides.
