For those who prefer to relax with a hook and line, there are several areas to enjoy fishing in Álava. There are a total of 18 fishing reserves on rivers and lakes. Especially noteworthy are the courses of the Bayas and Inglares rivers, and the Albina reservoir.

In the Zuhatzu-Kuartango area there is a 10 km stretch of fishing preserve, which allows different varieties: quota fishing, catch and release, and normal fishing.

Santa Cruz de Campezo offers a variant for beginners: the fish farm, with a lake in which catches are guaranteed.
