From Easter Thursday to Resurrection Sunday, a number of processions held in several different places around the province commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Among others, you can see the parades held in Vitoria-Gasteiz and Laguardia. If you visit Salinas de Añana, Baños de Ebro or Lagrán on Resurrection Sunday, you will see the popular “Burning of Judas”. In Moreda de Álava, the Apostle who betrayed Jesus is burnt at the stake with his partner, “la Judesa”.
