On January 21 and 22, the Festival of San Vicente and San Anastasio is held. Oyón
‘Katxi’, a curious figure dressed in a red and green smock, has been the central figure of the festivals of the patron saint of Oyón in the Rioja Alavesa since 1676. He is known throughout the province for his famous "tumbles": during his tour of the village, accompanied by representatives of the local authority, ‘Katxi’ tumbles repeatedly on the floor while the town flag is waved above him.
