During your visit, you will discover that Alava is the perfect place for nature lovers. You only have to travel a few kilometres to see great changes in its landscapes: from the reddish soils of the vineyards in the south, to the green of the valleys and mountains of Aramaio, our “little Switzerland”, and the plains that surround Vitoria-Gasteiz.

You will also have the opportunity of seeing how the inhabitants of this province have respected the environment, allowing a high level of conservation. A total of 20 protected natural spaces included in the Natura 2000 Network offer eloquent proof of this. Some of these natural spaces are described below. We invite you to explore them for yourself.
