Over recent years, the landscape of the Rioja Alavesa has been transformed by the construction of magnificent exponents of the so-called “architecture of wine”. Renowned architects have left their unmistakable mark on the design of new wineries. This is the case of Frank Ghery, with Marqués del Riscal, in Elciego; of Santiago Calatrava with Ysios, in Laguardia: and of Iñaki Aspiazu, with Bodegas Baigorri, in Samaniego.
